HWA New England is a regional chapter of the national association for professional horror authors, The Horror Writers Association. HWA New England functions primarily as a networking organization for local authors.

HWA New England is open to all horror authors (novel, short story, poetry) at all experience levels. Our members include full-time, mass market authors with decades of experience as well as unpublished newcomers.

PRIEST OF BLOOD Hits Two Bestseller Lists

Due to a large number of pre-orders, Douglas Clegg's THE PRIEST OF BLOOD, the book has made two bestseller lists.

Currently, the book is #3 on Shocklines.com, it's #3 in preorders. It also holds the sixth position at B&N for bestseller preorders!

Laura Cooney Gets YBFH Nod & Makes Sale to Red Scream

Laura Cooney's short story, "Number 808" received a Honorable Mention in the new edition of THE YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR. The story originally appeared in Lullaby Hearse #5.

Also, Cooney just sold her short story, "Beside Me, Like Cold Marble", to RED SCREAM MAGAZINE.

Soares Chapbook Appearance & Sale to AOIFE'S KISS

L.L. Soares' story "The Blood-Splattered Mirror Ball" will be appearing in the upcoming chapbook RIGHT HOUSE ON THE LEFT, to be published by Novello Publishers on Halloween 2005. He is one of three authors featured, along with Steve Vernon and Mark McLaughlin.

L.L. Soares also has a new story, "Rotten" in the next issue of AOIFE'S KISS, due out in September 2005.
