HWA New England is a regional chapter of the national association for professional horror authors, The Horror Writers Association. HWA New England functions primarily as a networking organization for local authors.

HWA New England is open to all horror authors (novel, short story, poetry) at all experience levels. Our members include full-time, mass market authors with decades of experience as well as unpublished newcomers.

News from L.L. Soares & Laura Cooney

L.L. Soares' "Fetch" now appearing on Horrorfind.com

I also have another story, "Electroshock Therapy for Mimes" coming out on October 20th, in the Halloween issue of the webzine TWILIGHT TIMES.

Soares recently sold a story, "Rotten," to a magazine called AOIFE'S KISS. It will be published in 2005. AOIFE'S KISS has a webzine and print magazine, and it looks hopeful that my story will be appearing in the print version. More details to come.

CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT

This year I started writing a new horror movie column with HWA New England's Michael Arruda called CINEMA KNIFE FIGHT. It appears once a month (every third week) in the horror industry newsletter HELLNOTES. Recently, I started posting some of the earlier installments in an ARCHIVE section of my website.
